A highly protective Gore-Tex jacket for hiking and mountaineering that blends function, weight and durability. Combining Gore-Tex 50D and 75D fabrics, ME´s Alpine fit and Mountain HC Hood the Makalu provides an ideal balance of waterproof protection, durability and weight for year round use.

GORE-TEX 3L
Unlike the 2-layer construction, this construction bonds the GORE-TEX membrane to both the outer fabric and the inner lining. The benefit: no movement between the layers, which means less wear and tear, and enhanced durability.
PFC-free impregnation
This product has been coated with a fluorocarbon-free DWR-sealant (DWR = "durable water repellent"), in order to achieve a long-lasting, protective layer against oil, grease, dirt, and water.

Stylish jacket, practical pockets, good length in the back so you keep the warmth in the lower back. The ventilation openings are easy to use. Worked great in sun, wind, snow flurries and rain on a ski trip along the King's Trail. The only minus is that the sleeves were very long. But better too long than too short, it can be fixed!
