Sleeping pad EVA 0.8 Long black - Pretty good, but...

In the past few days I have bought 5 sleeping pads EVA 0.8 Long black (model year 2023) for a cheap €6.99. ....and no, they aren't all just for me, of course ;-) The mats are good soft EVA mats and as is typical for soft EVA mats, you can quickly see signs of wear and tear. There are just "no" yoga mats, but there to sleep! These mats don't care if they get a hole or even a tear, they still work. Of course, they are not expensive Evazote mats and I cannot say whether the R-value is comparable, because a little lottery play is involved when buying these mats. Of the 5 mats, the heaviest weighs 320g and the lightest 188g with the same size. That's quite a lot of room to maneuver in terms of density. So they have (if I haven't miscalculated) a density of approx. 21 to 36 kg/m3. If you can live with that, you get a nice mat for a small price. By the way, if 8mm is too thin for you, you can also put two mats on top of each other ;-)

At 0.8 mm, mat is of course very thin and you can't expect too much, but the material is very sensitive and looks very used after the first use in the tent. The use of the mat on the ground is certainly only able to cope with this mat to a limited extent. A blade of grass leaves traces. As additional insulation in the tent and on the hut floor, it is OK. However, it had cheaper mats that were more durable.
