Really cool

So, I wanted a fairly lightweight tent that I could actually put in my 65L rucksack. I decided on a 1-person tent as I wasn't too pushed on space and wanted to keep the weight down anyway. This is the first tent I bought after researching a load of them for a few months. MSR seemed to be a well respected brand so I started looking into their models. I chose the Elixir 1 over the Hubba NX because (a) it was cheaper and (b) it came with a groundsheet included. I've had it out twice in the Wicklow Mountains – the weather being a mix of sunshine and rain – and It performed brilliantly. A really, really cool piece of kit. Very quick and easy to set up and pack away when done. No hesitation in recommending this piece of kit.

Super easy to look up, does not fill much, weighs 2 kg and must be said to be a good one for the price, the only negative was that the sides of the inner tent could not be opened beyond the entrance.
