A waterproof, breathable membrane that lets vapour out without letting water in. Perspiration and moisture naturally produced by the foot are able to escape, while at the same time keeping the wet out and the feet dry.
PFC-free impregnation
This product has been coated with a fluorocarbon-free DWR-sealant (DWR = "durable water repellent"), in order to achieve a long-lasting, protective layer against oil, grease, dirt, and water.

The Keen hiking shoe is built quite wide in the forefoot area and is therefore ideal for people who need a little more space here.
The sole is well profiled and has enough height to guarantee longer use/mileage. It also has the necessary strength so that not every stone can be felt, and the pronounced front cap also protects the toes.
The shoe is quite "hard" and therefore gives me an optimal walking feeling and the necessary feedback, no spongy wobbling back and forth like e.g. B. at Hoka, but that's just a matter of taste!
For me, an absolutely well-balanced, wide hiking shoe, also for longer activities where no explicit protection for the ankles / against twisting is required!
